ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA–Voter turnout on Tuesday inched up slightly as 469 voters ignored the April showers to cast their ballots, pushing Rockdale County’s Early Voting total so far to 1,335.
Tuesday’s voter turnout represents 2.07% of the total active number of voters—63,111—remaining to cast their ballots, Cynthia Willingham, director of Rockdale County’s Board of Elections and Registration, shared in a Day 2 Early Voting report. There are 64,446 eligible active voters in Rockdale, she stated.
On Monday, April 27, the first day of Early Voting, Rockdale had a total turnout of 866.
The General Primary and Nonpartisan Election is just days away, set for May 19.
In addition to the turnout totals, Willingham provided a breakdown of votes tabulated by Party and precincts. Voters from the Milstead Precinct led on Tuesday with 154 ballots cast. Olde Town followed with 139 votes cast. Fieldstone had a close 138 voters.
The only location for Early Voting and absentee ballot drop-offs is the Rockdale County Board of Elections and Registration office, 115 West Ave. S.W., Conyers.

May 11 and May 12, Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
May 13 and May 15, Wednesday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
