ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA— Incumbent Doreen Williams and Melissa T. Mims are appeared headed for a runoff for the Post 2 Board of Commissioners’ seat. Since no one in the three-way race earned the required 50 percent plus one to win, Williams(45.49 percent of the vote) and Mims (28.73 percent of the vote)—the top two vote-getters–will be in the runoff on June 16.
In the race for Associate State Judge, Justin Kinney, who received 50.75 percent and Sunny Mullins, who received 49.25 percent of the vote, appeared headed for a runoff match, based on unofficial results.

Angela Moore (71.99 percent) solidly outpaced challengter Stacey Garel (28.01 percent) on Tuesday, unofficial results, Page 9.

Incumbent Rhonda Taylor earned a whopping 63.68 percent of the vote in the 3-way race with Shawn Brown, who placed second (20.45 percent, and Arthur Demoine Kinney,(who came in third (15.87 percent), unofficial results, Page 9. State Senate District 43 Incumbent Tonya P. Anderson (72.85 percent) overwhelmingly won the three-way race with Sharon Henderson placing second (19.83 percent) and Donald Ferguson placing third (7.32 percent), unofficial results Page 9. Superior Court Judge Incumbent Nancy Bills received 53.22 percent of the vote, outdistancing Clarence Cuthpert, Jr., who received 46.78 percent, unofficial results Page 15. |
