DECATUR, GAA–DeKalb County Voter Registration & Elections (DeKalb VRE) announces the unofficial and incomplete results for the General Primary Election held ON Tuesday, May 19. https://dekalbcountyga.gov/departments/voter-registration-and-elections/election-results
The DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections will hold a pre-certification meeting on Friday, May 22, at 8:30 a.m. The board will then vote to certify the election
results on Tuesday, May 26, at noon. Both meetings will take place at the DeKalb VRE Office located at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300 in Decatur.
Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) ballots must be received by Friday, May 22, by 5 p.m. A risk-limiting audit will begin on Thursday, May 28, at 9 a.m.
“These unofficial General Primary Election results reflect not only the dedication of our elections team and poll workers, but also the strong civic engagement demonstrated by DeKalb County voters throughout the early voting period, which saw record turnout,” said Keisha L. Smith, Executive Director of DeKalb VRE. “Our staff approached this election with the highest level of care, precision, and professionalism to ensure voters could cast their ballots in a process that
was secure, transparent, and efficient. We are grateful to our poll workers, community partners, and every voter who participated in this important election.”
If required, a runoff election will be held on June 16. The DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections will announce early voting dates, times, and locations should any contest advance to a runoff election.
