STONECREST, GA – The City of Stonecrest announced the installation of new City Limit signage in the right-of-way on Interstate 20 and near bridges within the city limits. The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Stonecrest officials collaborated on efforts to install more Stonecrest City Limit signage at designated entry points along I-20 East and West.    The highway signs are designed to inform motorists that they are entering the city of Stonecrest. ATLANTA–MARTA will host a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, May 17, 6 p.m., to announce the recommended alignment of the Candler Road Arterial RapidTtransit (ART) project. The route will begin at Georgia State University Perimeter College – Panthersville, and serve Candler Road, Memorial Drive and Columbia Drive, terminating at Avondale rail station. This route was identified DeKalb County Transit Master Plan and will be funded with existing MARTA revenues. DULUTH, GA—Gwinnett County will celebrate cultures from around the world on Saturday, May 13, at its open house and festival celebration. The family-friendly event will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gwinnett Place Mall, 2100 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth. There will be cultural performances, face painting, bounce houses, obstacle courses, and car seat checks. A naturalization ceremony will be held to welcome the county’s newest citizens.
