DECATUR, GA—Investigators with the Office of the DeKalb County District Attorney is seeking the public’s help in identifying two additional suspects in the murder of Keng Wilson, 20. Joshua Ontario Simpson, 26, was arrested in August 2021 and charged with Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a First Offender Probationer and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony in connection with Wilson’s death. ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced that Imani Fantroyal, 29, of Loganville, has been charged with insurance fraud. In April and August of 2021, Fantroyal submitted claims to her insurance company for food spoilages that resulted from a power outage. She further stated the power outage in August damaged several electronics beyond repair. The suspect was issued payments totaling more than $1,300 by her insurance company as a result of the claims. “Upon investigation, the power provider for Ms. Fantroyal’s residence noted no power irregularities at the time or date of loss,” said Commissioner King.…

ATLANTA — The Atlanta City Council approved legislation during its July 5 meeting to transfer $3.5 million from the general fund’s uncommitted fund balance to the City of Atlanta’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund in the Fiscal Year 2024 budget (23-O-1331). The $3.5 million will raise the total sum to $11.5 million or 1.5 percent of the general fund budget as outlined in the legislation that established the fund in 2021.
