ATLANTA— Better Business Bureau (BBB) welcomes Taelore Hicks to serve as its new Media and Public Relations lead. With a diverse background in journalism and marketing, Hicks brings a wealth of knowledge to this role.
Previously, Hicks was the morning education reporter for 13WMAZ News, where she spent nearly two years telling the stories of Central Georgia. During her time at 13WMAZ, Hicks discovered her passion for storytelling and communications all while establishing herself as a trusted source for the community.
Adding to her journalism career, Hicks expanded into the world of marketing by stepping into a role with an integrated marketing agency. She was afforded the opportunity to work with high-profile clients helping them brainstorm, create, and implement strategies for their social media engagement and communication efforts.
Hicks is thrilled to now step into the public relations realm, as BBB’s Media and Public Relations lead. “I am super excited to transition into the PR side of reporting and contribute to BBB’s mission of promoting marketplace trust,” says Hicks. “I look forward to collaborating with our media partners to achieve the goal of educating the community on what the BBB is all about.”
As BBB of Atlanta and Northeast Georgia continues to be a resource that communities and business can trust, Hicks will play a key role in reinforcing the organization’s commitment to integrity, accountability, and excellence. Hicks will handle all media inquiries and can be reached at thicks@atlanta.bbb.org
