LILBURN, GA— Break out the festive sweaters, warm up those holiday playlists and snag your spot along Main Street. The City of Lilburn’s annual Holiday Parade is returning Saturday, Dec.12, bringing a little extra magic, merriment and hometown holiday spirit to Old Town Lilburn.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the parade will wind its way down Main Street with festive floats, marching bands, dancers, school groups, local nonprofits and plenty of holiday cheer. From twinkling decorations and creative costumes to familiar Christmas characters, including Santa, the Grinch and a few mischievous elves, there will be something to make parade-goers of all ages smile.
“One of the best parts of the holiday season is seeing our community come together, and the Holiday Parade is a wonderful reflection of that spirit,” said Jill Minnoia, City of Lilburn Community Engagement & Events Administrator. “Whether you’re participating in the parade, cheering from the sidewalk or bringing the family out for a morning of holiday fun, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating the people and traditions that make Lilburn feel like home. It’s a little bit of holiday magic we get to share together!”
Residents and visitors are encouraged to claim a curbside spot along Main Street to enjoy the parade, which will travel through Old Town Lilburn and conclude at Main and Church streets near Lilburn First Baptist Church.
The City of Lilburn extends a heartfelt thanks to generous sponsors of the Holiday Parade, which include Platinum sponsors, BAPS Mandir, Blue Skies Plumbing, Chick-fil-A and Rebecca Kay Sapp; and Gold sponsor, Window Nation.
