STONECREST, GA– The City of Stonecrest will hold an open house on June 4, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., to highlight services and provide an opportunity for residents to meet elected officials and city leaders as well as tour City Hall.
City staff will assist attendees in determining whether their home or business is located within Stonecrest. Guests also will be able to learn about City operations and meet Stonecrest’s Mayor-Elect Jazzmin Cobble and councilmembers.
“This is an exciting time to be in Stonecrest,” said Mayor-Elect Cobble. “We encourage everyone in the community to join us for this fun-filled event, meet their elected representatives, and learn more about the services that the City provides to residents and businesses.”
Guests will have an opportunity to participate in the City’s online survey to assist officials in deciding the best use of $9.7 million in funding received from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
“We are thrilled to welcome back Stonecrest’s residents, business owners and stakeholders,” said Mayor Pro Tem George Turner. “As a City, we experienced unprecedented challenges due to the impact of COVID-19, but Stonecrest’s spirit remained strong and resilient. This open house will allow us to reconnect with the community as we continue to rebound from the pandemic.”
The event is free and open to the public. Visitors will enjoy food, giveaways, and entertainment. To ensure the safety of all guests and staff, social distancing measures and facial coverings will be required inside City Hall.
