STONECREST, GA — On Dec. 9, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) honored four small businesses in each of the counties he represents for their contributions to the community and positive impact on the lives of his constituents. Holding his inaugural Fourth Congressional District 2022 Small Business Pinnacle Awards, Congressman Johnson held a brief ceremony for his awardees at Ours Studios in South DeKalb.
The awardees:
- H.O.M.E. (Helping Oppressed Mothers Endure) non-profit organization in Rockdale County. H.O.M.E., Inc. was founded to help single mothers who are working and/or attending school survive the ‘tough times’ and persevere towards an ‘appointed time’ for success in life. Mrs. Carolyn A. - CAL’s ARC, LLC (School of Virtual Reality Welding) a computer-based training system based in DeKalb County that is an educational tool designed for students to practice welding techniques in a simulated environment. Mr. Calvin Cormier, Founder and CEO.
- The Lindsey Firm, located in Newton County, practice in the areas of personal injury, family law and criminal law throughout Georgia. Attorney Stephanie R. Lindsey, Principal Attorney for The Lindsey Firm. She is an outstanding advocate, educating our youth to prevent them from getting caught up in the criminal justice system.
- Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, its primary mission is to provide resources and a platform for small businesses to start, sustain and succeed. Mr. Nicholas “Nick” Masino, President of the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce.
