ATLANTA—Rep. Hank Johnson, who represents Georgia’s Fourth Congressional District in metro Atlanta, is inviting constituents to share how their daily lives are being impacted by the rising costs and increasing cuts to services and programs by the Trump Administration.
Johnson is hosting a virtual town hall to discuss how pocketbook issues—the costs for gas, groceries, childcare, housing, and healthcare—are disrupting lives.
“I need to hear from you. Please join my virtual town hall on affordability or the lack thereof – we’re calling it the Cost of Chaos: Get Your Hands Out of My Pockets! on Thursday, May 7 from 7-8 p.m.,” Johnson said in his May 5 newsletter, “The Hank Herald.”
The first 500 constituents will be permitted to watch and interact via the Zoom meeting. Click HERE to sign up via Zoom. Once capacity is reached, the public can watch the event live on Johnson’s Facebook page.
“As I wrote last week, in the wealthiest country in the world, no family should struggle to put food on the table, afford a doctor’s appointment, or keep a roof over their heads. Yet despite Trump’s promise to lower costs on day one, too many Americans are finding that life is only getting more expensive,” Johnson stated.
Johnson has held numerous town halls in person and virtually to document constituents’ experiences as a result of federal cutbacks to programs and services, housing, healthcare and food insecurity. Johnson: Click here to participate in my virtual town hall Thursday, May 7 from 7-8 PM
