CONYERS, GA—The public is invited to a listening session regarding short-term rentals. The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 28, 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Conyers City Hall, 901 O’Kelly Street.
Hosted by Mayor Connie Alsobrook and City Council Member Sherri Washington, this listening session’s topic on short-term rentals includes bed and breakfasts, Airbnb, and VRBO-style accommodations. Citizens are
invited to share their views on how short-term rentals affect neighborhoods, housing availability, traffic, noise, property values, and overall quality of life.
Conyers Mayor and City Council launched Conyers Conversations Listening Sessions earlier this year as a means of engagement and collaboration with citizens.
Previous listening session topics include discussions regarding land use at the Georgia International Horse Park and areas of interest related to local business owners.
“As we consider how to address short-term rentals in Conyers, it’s essential that we listen first. This session is an opportunity for residents to share their opinions and experiences about short-term rentals and what they want to see in future policy enacted in the city,” said Mayor Alsobrook.
