CONYERS, GA– The Conyers-Rockdale (Nancy Guinn Memorial) Library will host the 2024 “Adventure Begins at Your Library” summer reading program June 1 through – July 26. The program is open to children and youths ages 0 to 19.
The kick-off party for the whole family will be held on Saturday, June 1, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the library’s parking lot, 864 Green Street S.W., Conyers. There will be
community service trucks, face painting, games, sidewalk chalk art, crafts, music, and refreshments. Don’t forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge on Beanstack to earn prizes by reading books. Paperlogs for books read this summer will be available by request.
Children ages 0 -12
The Adventure Begins at the Library will include live performances, crafts, activities, prizes, and more. You can discover adventures through reading at the library or by sing the eReads for Kids app when you’re not at the Library. Log the minutes you read and earn badges, win prize bags, and be entered into the grand prize drawing.
Teens ages 13-19
Ready for a new adventure? Teens will have the opportunity to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge, where they’ll log their reading in Beanstack and earnvirtual badges and prizes (don’t forget to check out the library’s digital collection of ebooks and eAudiobooks, available through Libby). A full schedule of programming including crafts, movie screenings, the library’s new young adult book club, 3D printing, art contest, and more. Every teen who registers for Summer Reading gets a goodie bag and a brand new book to keep.
