To begin my “start-to-finish” design series I will make a plan for the client through moodboards and virtual design and track it through the design process into completion with photography of the transformed space. I want to take the On Common Ground News’ readers on a journey as we discover the needs, look and feel my clients desire and how the process goes from start to finish. My blog will hold the blow-by-blow details but, you can see the details of some of the colors, textures and heart that go into my designs here.
I have known my next clients for many years. Always the fashionable couple, these two would create a home much like their personalities- warm, welcoming, contemporary in direction but steeped in the deep traditions of faith, family and community. I want to help them create spaces in their home that reflected their empty nester status and dreams for the future of their family and to, most importantly, celebrate their lives together. Much like their cool exteriors, the Bullard’s wanted a sleek, contemporary and monochromatic home, primed and ready for gatherings and the next phase of their lives. Mrs. Bullard had already purchased grey accents and considering golden accents or navy blue and white accents to start. The moodboards I offered gave her the best of both worlds in order to hone in on her selections and present the possibilities of each overall feel. Please join me at www.arieljallendesign.com as we continue the journey with the Bullard’s!
