DeKalb announces Thanksgiving residential sanitation collection schedule
In observance of Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, Nov. 24, garbage, recyclable materials and yard trimmings collection for residential customers will be based on a revised collection schedule.
The revised schedule is as follows:
Monday, Nov. 21 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Monday, Nov. 21, will be serviced on that day.
Tuesday, Nov. 22 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Tuesday, Nov. 22, will be serviced on that day.
Wednesday, Nov. 23 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Wednesday, Nov. 23, will be serviced on that day.
Thursday, Nov. 24 – Thanksgiving Day observed; no sanitation collection service.
Friday, Nov. 25 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Thursday, Nov. 24, will be serviced on Friday, Nov. 25.
The Sanitation Division’s administrative office will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25. The Central and North Transfer Stations and Seminole Road Landfill will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, but open on Friday, Nov. 25, during normal operating hours.
Rockdale government offices closed for Thanksgiving holidays
Rockdale County Government Offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, and on Friday, Nov. 25, in observation of the Thanksgiving holidays.
The next meeting of the Rockdale County Board of Commissioners will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
Gwinnett government offices closed, sanitation schedule revised for holidays
All Gwinnett County government offices, with the exception of those operations required for the comfort and safety of residents, will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 – 25 for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. County offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, Nov. 28. A Magistrate Court judge will be available at the Gwinnett County Detention Center during the holiday.
Thursday, Nov. 24, is a trash and recycling holiday for residents living in unincorporated Gwinnett County. Collection scheduled on that day will be rescheduled to Friday, Nov. 25 and Friday collection will be rescheduled to Saturday, Nov. 26. Only Thursday and Friday collections will be affected. Residents can visit www.sustainablegwinnett.com to find their hauler’s contact information. Residents who live within city limits should contact their trash and recycling provider to find out if collection will be delayed due to the holiday.
County offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 to Friday, Nov. 25 and will reopen during normal business hours on Monday, Nov. 28.
