DEKALB COUNTY, GA— The DeKalb County Police Department is looking for the best and brightest recruits to protect and serve the public, and there’s an upcoming event for people to show they have what it takes.
DKPD is planning a one-stop hiring event Saturday, September 6, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Tobie Grant Recreation Center at 593 Parkdale Drive, Scottdale. Candidates will run an agility course, so it’s recommended they bring a change of clothes. Then they’ll go through the interview process, which could result in a conditional job offer that day.
New recruits can earn up to $64,050 and get a $3,000 signing bonus. Certified officers can earn up to $73,500 and receive a $5,000 signing bonus. In addition, DKPD offers housing assistance, advancement opportunities and a take-home car.
