DECATUR, GA–DeKalb County Commissioner Lorraine Cochran-Johnson announced the 4th Annual Small Business Summit, a premier event designed to support and empower local entrepreneurs. The summit will take place on Nov. 1, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Atlanta Gas Light Regional Business Center, located at 2505 Brannen Rd. SE, Atlanta, 30316.
This annual event provides small business owners with invaluable insights, resources and networking opportunities. The summit will feature three informative panels, each focusing on key areas of interest for small businesses. Topics include iSupplier opportunities, LSBE Program and certification, business incentives, tax credits, opportunity zones, loan programs and expansion capital, business grants, artificial intelligence, and business resources and tools.
The event and registration are limited to 100 attendees. Parking is limited to 70 spaces, so where possible attendees are encouraged to rideshare or carpool. The event will be live streamed on the DCTV YouTube Channel.
The DeKalb County Small Business Summit is co-sponsored by Frankie L. Atwater, CEO and president of the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce, and Dorian DeBarr, president of the Decide DeKalb Development Authority. Representatives from the Small Business Administration, The Velocity Company, Access Loans and Financing, DeKalb County Planning and Sustainability Department, DeKalb County Procurement Department, and the DeKalb County Community Development Department.
Continental breakfast will be served, providing attendees with an opportunity to network and connect with fellow entrepreneurs.
“The Small Business Summit has been the springboard for several new businesses in DeKalb, while providing much-needed resources for others,” Commissioner Cochran-Johnson said. “My goal is to ensure every DeKalb County business has the tools they need to grow and prosper.
