DECATUR, GA – DeKalb County Tax Commissioner Irvin J. Johnson is reminding property owners of the final installment deadline for property taxes, including City of Atlanta properties in DeKalb. Nearly 265,000 tax bills have been mailed to property owners.
“If you are a property owner who has not received a bill, please contact the tax office to avoid delays and late fees. The non-receipt of a bill does not relieve the owner of the responsibility to meet payment due dates,” said Tax Commissioner Johnson. “The deadline for the second installment and City of Atlanta properties in DeKalb is November 17.”
In-person service is available Monday through Friday at the Memorial Drive property tax office from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and the Clairmont Road and South DeKalb Mall satellite office locations from 8 a.m. – 4:30 pm.
To accommodate customers visiting the Memorial Drive property tax office, the entrance is currently rerouted to the UGA Extension entrance at the front of the building from Nov. 3 – 17, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Disabled customers may continue to use the property tax main entrance off Northern Ave.
