All offices closed Sept. 1 in observance of Labor Day
DEKALB COUNTY, GA– In observance of Labor Day, the DeKalb County Tax Commissioner’s Office will be closed for the holiday on Monday, Sept. 1 and will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
To avoid delays, motor vehicle customers may go online to renew their vehicle registration, pay insurance fines, check their vehicle title and insurance status, change their vehicle registration address, and more at eservices.drives.ga.gov.
Self-service tag renewal kiosks are also available at participating Kroger stores in DeKalb. Customers may renew and print decals on the spot instead of waiting for mailed documents. For kiosk locations, visit dekalbtax.org/kiosks.
Property tax payments can also be made online at publicaccess.dekalbtax.org or by phone at 770-336-7500 during regular business hours.
If a property has been scheduled for tax sale on Sept. 2, customers paying delinquent taxes are encouraged to make payments in person before the Sept. 1 holiday. Please call 404-298-3053 for more information.
Property tax and motor vehicle in-person services are available during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at any of the following office locations:
- Central office at 4380 Memorial Drive, Decatur, GA 30032
- North office at 3653 Clairmont Road, Chamble, GA 30341
- South DeKalb Mall at 2801 Candler Road, Decatur, GA 30034 (North end mall entrance)
The property tax office located on Memorial Drive is open until 5 p.m.
For walk-in service, customers should expect delays the day before and the day after holidays.
