DECATUR, GA – DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections (DeKalb VRE) is reminding voters that Election Day for the General and Special Elections is Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters who are in line by 7 p.m. will be allowed to cast their ballots.

As Election Day approaches, voters are encouraged to confirm their polling location, review their sample ballot and bring an acceptable form of photo identification.

Voters should note that two Dekalb precincts will vote at locations that differ from their permanent polling places.

"Making a plan before Election Day can help voters feel prepared and make the voting process smoother," said Keisha Smith, Executive Director of DeKalb VRE. "We encourage voters to check their assigned polling location and sample ballot in advance, and to contact our office if they have questions about voting."

Polling Location Updates

Voters assigned to the two precincts below should take note of changes to their polling locations for the Nov. 3 election:

Lavista/Lavista Road Precinct

Beginning with the November 2026 election, voters in this precinct will vote at a new polling location.

Previous location: Congregation Beth Jacob

New location: St. Bartholomew's Episcapal Church, 1790 Lavista Road NE, Atlanta, 30329

Cross Keys High/Woodward Precinct

Due to ongoing construction at Cross Keys High School, voters in this precinct will continue to cast their ballots at a temporary polling location.

Temporary location for 2026: Woodward Elementary School, 3034 Curtis Dr NE, Atlanta, 30319

Key Voter Reminders:

  • Review your sample ballot and confirm your voter registration and assigned polling location through the Georgia Secretary of State's My Voter Page.
  • Bring an acceptable form of photo identification when voting in person.
  • If you requested an absentee ballot and haven't received it, call DeKalb VRE at 404-298-4020.
  • All absentee ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
  • If you have questions or observe suspicious activity at your polling location, notify the poll manager immediately.
