DEKALB COUNTY, GA– The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit, with assistance from MARTA Police, has arrested a suspect accused in the shooting death of his brother.
Stone Mountain resident Ahmed Kawah, 37, was taken into custody without incident on a MARTA bus at North Decatur Road in Decatur. An arrest warrant charges Kawah with Felony Malice Murder in the shooting death of 56-year-old Anthony Bronson, his brother.
According to the warrant, the incident took place on July 9, 2023 on Old Front Street in Stone Mountain. No motive was given for the shooting.
Kawah was taken into custody by DeKalb Sheriff’s investigators on Aug. 2 and transported to the DeKalb County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
