DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections approves changes to sixth polling location

Advance voting ends Oct. 29; General Election Nov. 2

 

DeKalb’s Board of Registration and Elections ron Oct. 27  approved an additional polling location, increasing the number from 5 to 6 sites  ahead of the Nov. 2 General Election. Due to various issues including ongoing construction at previous polling locations, some voters in Chamblee, Decatur, Doraville, Stone Mountain and Stonecrest may be assigned a new polling location this election cycle.

Voters who believe they may be impacted by the polling location change can contact DeKalb VRE by visiting DeKalbVotes.com or calling 404-298-4020 or 1-866-DEK-VOTES. On Election Day, DeKalb VRE will have staff stationed at changed polling locations to redirect voters. Signage will also be posted onsite to alert voters of the change in location.

Additional Voter Reminders:

  • Voters should complete their absentee ballots and return to as soon as possible. The ballot must be received no later than 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
  • The final day for advance voting is Friday, October 29. For a list of locations and hours, visit www.DeKalbVotes.com.
  • Completed absentee ballots can be returned at DeKalb County drop boxes at select advance voting locations, as it’s likely too late to mail. For a list of locations, visit www.DeKalbVotes.com.
  • For those planning to vote on Election Day, please verify your polling place at www.DeKalbVotes.com before heading to vote. Masks and social distancing are encouraged for in-person voters.
