DeKalb County, GA– DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections (DeKalb VRE) is reminding eligible voters that Election Day for the Primary Election Runoff is Tuesday, June 16. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., and voters who are in line by 7 p.m. will be allowed to cast their ballot.
With early voting concluding, June 16 marks the final opportunity for eligible voters to participate in the runoff election and make their voices heard at the ballot box. Because the May 19 election was a partisan primary, voters who participated may only vote in the runoff election for the same party ballot they selected in the primary. Voters who did not participate in the May 19 primary may still vote in the runoff and may choose either party’s ballot.
“Every election, we want voters to be informed and energized as they make a plan to cast their ballots,” said Keisha Smith, Executive Director of DeKalb VRE. “As Election Day approaches, we encourage voters to take a few minutes to prepare by reviewing our sample ballot online, confirming their voter registration information and double-checking their assigned polling location.
Being prepared before arriving at the polls helps ensure a smooth voting experience
and allows voters to focus on making their voices heard.”
Key Voter Reminders
• Voters are encouraged to review their sample ballot at www.DeKalbVotes.com and
verify their voter registration status at the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter
Page.
• Double check your voting precinct before heading to cast your ballot. Visit Georgia
Secretary of State’s My Voter Page.
• Election Day voters must vote at their designated precinct, making it especially
important to verify polling locations in advance.

photo identification when voting in person. Acceptable forms of identification include a
Georgia driver’s license, a valid state or federal government-issued photo ID, a U.S.

identification card issued by a county registrar’s office.
• All absentee ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
