ATLANTA—New Birth Missionary Baptist Church’s Senior Pastor, Jamal Harrison Bryant, led a prayer and call to action on Sunday, Feb. 27, to support thousands of African and Jamaican students currently trapped in Ukraine amid the recent Russian invasion.

Students were filled with terror as they were forced to hide from the missile strikes underway, Pastor Bryant learned during an Instagram discussion with Ukraine pastors. Students are being stopped at Poland and Hungary borders and others are hiding in basements of people’s homes, the Ukrainian pastors told Bryant.

Dr. Promise Isaac, a Nigerian-born medical doctor and faith leader currently residing in Ukraine, contacted Pastor Bryant via Instagram with a request to help amplify the critical need to assist African students attempting to cross the board to enter Poland and Hungary.

The mega church’s leader responded immediately to the request, declaring “We are in a state of emergency.”  Pastor Bryant spoke with Isaac and other guests via Instagram.

“As we watch brutal Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin, wage war on the people of Ukraine, we cling to scripture which declares that God is a present help in times of trouble. We are called to not only pray but to move to action to support those under siege,” said Pastor Bryant.  “As so many are trapped and being denied passage to safer lands, we call on people of conscience to urge our government and leaders from across the globe to exhaust all diplomatic and economic strategies to end this tragedy.  Our prayers are with all those impacted, and we stand firmly with the people of Ukraine.”

    Now isn’t that something?

The country of Ukraine is being attacked by the Russian government yet the Ukrainian military are attacking them..Wow! Non Whites can’t receive a quality education without them being reminded that they don’t belong in Ukraine.

Right now,the biggest threat to the Ukraine isn’t a Black person..it’s a White Russian nutcase who is ready to tear their country to pieces.

In spite of the discrimination,I’m still praying that Russia will resolve their differences with Ukraine. God knows,we don’t need World War 3
