GWINNETT COUNTY, GA– Taevon McCamey, a fugitive wanted by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office on several active warrants, is behind bars, authorities said on Tuesday, April 14.
The Sheriff’s Fugitive Unit, with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol, located and arrested McCamey in Atlanta on April 7.
McCamey had active warrants for Aggravated Assault Against Law Enforcement Officer When Engaged on Official Duty, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, No Insurance, Knowingly Driving Motor Vehicle on Suspended, Canceled, or Revoked Registration, Criminal Trespass Damage, three counts of Burglary, two counts of Criminal Damage to Property, and two counts of Possession of Tools for Commission of a Crime. McCamey is being held at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
