Notice of City of Stonecrest election and qualifying dates and fees

Notice is hereby given that a General Election will be held in the City of Stonecrest, Georgia on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 for the election of three (3) City Council Members. One shall be elected in Districts 1, 3 & 5.

Any person desiring to be a candidate shall qualify at DeKalb County Registrations and Elections at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300 Decatur, GA 30032. Qualifying will begin on Monday, August 21, 2017 and ending Wednesday, August 23, 2017 between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M.

The qualifying fee for the position of City Council Member is Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($450.00).

Residents wishing to vote in the election must be registered by October 10, 2017 and the first day to mail in Absentee Ballots is October 16, 2017 and the last day for Absentee Ballots is November 3, 2017.

The general election will be held at the regular polling places from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
