Parking is available throughout Olde Town in church parking lots, the library, and city parking lots, but the public is encouraged to utilize a complimentary shuttle service that will run between the hours of 5:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. on July 3 from two parking areas: Restoration Storehouse at 1400 Parker Road and Rockdale Career Academy at 1064 Culpepper Drive.
Shuttles, which will also accommodate guests with disabilities, will transport those attending the event to a convenient drop-off point in Olde Town Conyers and provide return transport to the lots. “Diverse food choices, great bands, fun and fireworks are what draws everyone together for the patriotic festivities in Olde Town,” said Mayor Vince Evans. “We are eager to celebrate the holiday with friends and neighbors in the heart of Conyers.”
In the event of severe, inclement weather on July 3, the public is encouraged to stay tuned to the city and county social media channels on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for updates on whether the event will be rescheduled. If postponed on July 3, only the fireworks portion of the Red, White and Boom event will take place on Saturday, July 8 at 9:30 p.m. For more information on Red, White and Boom and other events, visit conyersga.com.
