CONYERS, GA– Rebecca Hill has been appointed director of the Georgia International Horse Park (GIHP)Conyers City Manager Kameron Kelley announced today.
Hill was named deputy director of the GIHP in July 2024 and her appointment as director follows the retirement of 24-year employee and former GIHP director Jennifer Bexley in April.
Hill began her career with the city of Conyers in 2003. She holds degrees from Young Harris College and the University of Georgia. Most recently, Hill was responsible for assisting with all GIHP business operations, venue management, employee engagement and budget planning. In her new role, she will oversee the general operations of the 1,400-acre, world-class facility.
Hill is a member of the League of Agriculture and Equine Centers and earned her Certified Manager of Equine Centers designation in 2024. She is also a member of the International Association of Venue Managers and a graduate of the organization’s Venue Management School in 2023. She holds a Tourism Marketing Professional certification through the Southeast Tourism Society. Hill was the recipient of the city’s 2007 Dee Buggay Award of Excellence (Employee of the Year) and is a graduate of Leadership Rockdale.
