ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA– Rockdale County Board of Elections Supervisor Cynthia Willingham is reminding voters of key information to prepare for the General Election on Nov. 5, 2024.
Early In-Person voting will be held Oct. 15-Nov. 1 at the Board of Elections Office, located at 1115 West Ave. SW. This is Rockdale’s only location for early voting. The scheduled hours for early voting and for those who wish to drop off their mail-in ballot is below:

9AM-5PM, OCT 19 (SATURDAY)
10AM-3PM, OCT 20 (SUNDAY)
8AM – 5PM, OCT 21 – OCT 25 (MON-FRI)
9AM-5PM, OCT 26 (SATURDAY)
8AM-5PM, OCT 28 – OCT 29 (MON AND TUES)
8AM-7PM, OCT 30 – NOV 1 (WEDN-FRI) EXTENDED HOURS
EARLY VOTING ENDS – FRI, NOV 1 AT 7:00PM
Friday, Oct. 25, is the last day to request a Mail Absentee Ballot. Voters can make the request online or obtain the request form by visiting: https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/ or contact the Board of Elections Office to have an application sent to them. Mail Absentee Ballot requests can be submitted to: absentee@rockdalecountyga.gov.
Voters must go to their assigned precincts on Nov, 5, Election Day. Voters must vote in the county where they reside and are encouraged to verify their Election Day Polling location by visiting: https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/.
Sample ballots will be sent in the voter’s water bill beginning in October and can be found on the Board of Elections website: rockdalecountyga.gov/county-departments/board-of-elections-voter-registration/departments.
The Nov. 5, 2024, Election timeline is as follows:
- Mon., Aug. 19 – Fri. Oct. 25 – Mail Absentee Applications are accepted
- Mon., Oct. 7 – Begin Mailing Absentee Ballots to Voters
- Mon., Oct. 7 – Voter Registration Deadline
- Tues., Oct. 15 – Fri. Nov. 1 – In-Person Early Voting Period
- Sat., Oct. 19 and Sat. Oct. 26 – Saturday Voting, 9 a.m.– 5 p.m.
- Sun., Oct 20 – Sunday Voting, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Wed., Oct 30 – Fri. Nov. 1 – Extended Early Voting Hours 8 a.m.– 7 p.m.
- Fri., Oct 25 – Last day Absentee Ballots will be mailed
- Fri., Nov 1 – Last day to Vote In-Person Early
- Tues., Nov 5 – Election Day – Polls open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Tues., Nov 5 – All Mail Ballots must be returned to Board of Elections office by 7 p.m.
