ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA— The Rockdale County Board of Elections announces two polling place changes effective for the Special Primary Election for Public.
Service Commission Districts 2 and 3 on June 17. If needed, the runoff election will be held on July 15.
Voters assigned to the Honey Creek Precinct and Hightower Precinct are encouraged to check their mail next week for an updated precinct card. While precinct cards are not required to vote, a valid photo ID is required at the polls.
Polling Place Changes:
On Election Day, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both June 17 and July 15.
Voters are required to vote at their assigned precinct. Clear signage will be posted at former polling locations, directing voters to the new sites.

Special Primary Election Timeline
- March 31 – June 6:Absentee ballot applications accepted
- May 19:Voter registration deadline
- May 27:Absentee ballots mailed to voters
- May 27 – June 13:In-person Early Voting Period
- May 31 & June 7:Saturday Voting, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- June 6:Last day mail absentee ballots will be issued
- June 17:Election Day (Polls open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.)
- June 17:All absentee ballots must be returned to the Board of Elections office by 7 p.m.
- July 15:Runoff election, if necessary
