ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA– After a cancelled season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Rockdale County Division of Parks and Recreation is bringing back its Summer Concert Series for 2021, offering concerns one Sunday a month between July and October.
The four free concerts will take place at the following times and locations and will feature the following artists:
- Sunday, July 25, 4 to 6 p.m., Costley Mill Park, 2599 Salem Church Road, Conyers,– Phillipia Williams and The Phixx
- Sunday, Aug. 29, 4 to 6 p.m., Johnson Park, 1781 Ebenezer Road, Conyers– Unknown Lyric
- Sunday, Sept. 26, 4 to 6 p.m., Costley Mill Park, 2599 Salem Church Road, Conyers– Gritz and Jelly Butter
- Sunday, Oct. 24, 4 to 6 p.m., Costley Mill Park, 2599 Salem Church Road, Conyers,– The Corey Brown Band
Parks and Recreation also will be hosting two other events prior to the first two concerts within the series:
- Unveiling of the Costley Mill Event Center at Costley Mill Park – Sunday, July 25, 2 to 4 p.m., Costley Mill Park, 2599 Salem Church Road, Conyers
- Unveiling of the new gym, Natatorium Expansion, and other improvements at Johnson Park Recreation Center – Sunday, Aug. 29, 2 to 4 p.m., Johnson Park, 1781 Ebenezer Road, Conyers
All four concerts will feature food vendors and event goers should bring their own lawn chairs. Admission is free.
