Georgia U.S. Senate race heats up as Sen. Raphael Warnock(D-Georgia) prepares to face er Republican Herschel Walker in November. Warnock arrived on his campaign bus on Aug. 18. as a cheering crowd of supporters welcomed him to Conyers at the Randy S. Mills City Center Park pavilion on Main Street.
Pastor Eric Lee of Springfield Baptist Church in Conyers provided the invocation, calling Warnock his friend of 30 years and his Morehouse classmate.
“We have come to salute him and we’ve come to support him, and we’ve come to urge him forward as the most rational choice the most rational option be our senator for the next six years, Warnock said as the crowd applauded before his prayer..
Another Warnock for Georgia rally was held at 7 p.m. in the city of Stonecrest following the 4:15 p.m. event in Conyers.
