ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA—The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public to be on the lookout for an escaped inmate considered armed and dangerous.
Inmate Timothy Shane has been on the run since Sunday, Nov. 30, after escaping Atlanta’s Grady Hospital around 1:30 a.m. Deputies and EMS had transported Shane to the hospital around 8 p.m. following a suicide attempt.
The Sheriff’s Office updated a Facebook post today, Dec. 2, at 8:51 a.m. stating that Shane has been in the South Rockdale area and deputies were looking for him but could not locate him.
The post stated:
“Investigations led to the discovery of the stolen silver in color Pontiac Grand Prix at Publix on Hwy 155 in Henry County. It is confirmed that Inmate Shane requested an uber to a residence in south Rockdale. RCSO units conducted a search warrant of the location and Inmate Shane was not located.
We believe Inmate Shane is still wearing the red hooded sweatshirt and dark blue pants, but he now has shoes.
We will continue to follow up on leads as they become available.”
Inmate Shane is suspected to have on a Red Hoodie and Dark Blue Pants. He is to be considered armed and dangerous.
