CONYERS, GA—Springfield Baptist Church announces its annual Juneteenth Celebration, taking place on Friday, June 19, 6:30-9 p.m. This event is open to the entire community, and everyone is invited to join in commemorating this historic day.
The celebration will feature a variety of activities for all ages, including live drumming and dance performances, food trucks, a vendor fair, bounce houses, and other fun-filled activities designed to bring families together.
Juneteenth marks a significant moment in American history: June 19, 1865 is the day that all people living in the U.S., including formerly enslaved blacks, were officially granted freedom.
Springfield under the leadership of the Rev. Eric W. Lee, Sr., honors this important day with a celebration that reflects the church’s commitment to community, culture, and heritage.
