DEKALB COUNTY, GA– Stephenson Lady Jaguars knocked off the Southwest DeKalb Panters to win a second consecutive DeKalb County Spikefest Volleyball Bracket at Miller Grove over the weekend.
It was Stephenson’s third title overall, having won a year ago and in 2022.
The championship was a rematch as the Court 2 runner-up Southwest DeKalb knocked off Court 1 winner and host Miller Grove (4-1) two sets to none. Stephenson cruised into the title match with a 25-13, 25-20 victory over Court 1 runner-up Cedar Grove (3-2).

Stephenson picked up its second victory of the tournament against the Panthers with a 25-20, 25-14 sweep to repeat as champions.
Stephenson won all four matches in pool play on Court 2 beginning with a 25-17, 25-23 win over Southwest DeKalb to open play at Miller Grove. The Jaguars (6-0) followed with a 25-5, 25-12 win over Towers (1-3) and a 2-0 win over Columbia (1-3). Stephenson sealed the pool title with a 25-21, 25-9 victory over McNair (1-3).

Court 2 runner-up Southwest DeKalb rebounded from its loss to Stephenson in the opening match with 2-0 wins over Columbia, Towers and McNair to claim a spot in the semifinals.
Miller Grove (4-1) swept through the Court 1 pool with 2-0 wins over Cedar Grove (3-2), Redan (2-2), Martin Luther King Jr. (1-3) and a forfeit by Lithonia.

Cedar Grove advanced to the semifinals by bouncing back from the opening loss to Miller Grove with 2-0 wins over Martin Luther King Jr., Redan and Lithonia.
