A winning ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Covington for Georgia’s Feb. 23 Powerball drawing.
Winning numbers for the drawing were: 4-6-14-20-32 and the Powerball was 13.
The winning ticket was purchased at Potts Store, located at 15524 Highway 36. The winner claimed the prize on Tuesday.
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot has rolled to an estimated $322 million to a single annuity winner.
The Powerball jackpot has grown since Dec. 29 and has rolled 17 times.
Powerball offers two jackpot payment options: the $322 million jackpot prize paid over 29 years in 30 graduated payments; or the cash option, which is approximately $196 million.
Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Players can multiply prizes with the Power Play option for an additional $1 per play.
Powerball tickets can be purchased at Georgia Lottery retailers statewide. Georgia residents also can purchase tickets via the Georgia Lottery app or online at www.galottery.com.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $20.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.8 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
