In DeKalb County, Democratic District 2 Commissioner Michelle Long Spears has no primary challenger. Ben Pepper is the sole candidate who qualified for the Republican primary.
Democratic Super District 7 Commissioner LaDena Bolton will face challengers Jacqueline Adams and Oneka Willabus.
Democratic District 3 Commissioner Nicole Massiah will face challengers Keyanna Jones Moore, Tommy Travis, and Jakequeline “Jake” Walls. Andrea Bass Smith qualified as the only Republican in the primary.
In addition to data centers, ICE enforcement will continue to be another hot topic for the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners.
At the federal level:
Democratic Congressman Hank Johnson, District 4, is facing challengers Ben Truman and Ansell Postell. James Raymond Duffie qualified as the sole Republican for the primary.
Democratic Congresswoman Nikema Williams, District 5, is facing primary challenger Arnetress Elaine Beatty. John Oliver Salvesen qualified as the only Republican for the primary.
Democratic State Sen. Tonya Anderson, District 43, is facing challengers Donald Ferguson and Sharon Henderson.
Democratic State Rep. Darshun Kendrick, District 95, is facing challengers Stacy Johnson and Zae Brewer. Reggie Hall qualified as the only Republican for the primary.
Democratic State Rep. Billy Mitchell, District 88, qualified and has no Democratic challengers. William Freeman has qualified to run as the Republican for the seat.
Democratic State Rep. Angela Moore, District 91, is facing challenger Stacey Garel.
Democratic State Rep. Rhonda Taylor, District 92, is facing two challengers: Arthur Kinney and Shawn Brown.
Winners of the Democratic and Republican primaries will face off on Nov. 3.
