The Chi Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc® hosted a mentoring ice cream social on Saturday, June 24, for female youths of Elks Aidmore in Rockdale County.
Members of the chapter’s “Uplifting Our Community Committee” engaged the residents, who have aged out of the foster care system, in meaningful conversations to inspire and help help them to build self-confidence.
Members of the Class of 2023 were recognized and celebrated while enjoying their favorite ice cream. The purpose of each mentoring session is to drive home the message that a person’s current circumstance.
