DECATUR, GA –DeKalb County Chief Executive Officer Lorraine Cochran-Johnson delivered her inaugural Employee State of the County address to more than 1,000 DeKalb County employees and stakeholders. The Employee State of the County, held on June 6, was the first of its kind in DeKalb’s history. Employees were given the opportunity to hear directly from CEO Cochran-Johnson about what has been done and her visionfor the County. ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA–The Rockdale County Board of Commissioners will host a town hall on June 17, 6 p.m., at Johnson Park Gymnasium, 1781 Ebenezer Road S.W., Conyers. The town hall will focus on the county’s parks and recreation initiatives and activities. DEKALB COUNTY, GA – DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections (DeKalb VRE) is notifying approximately 7,000 voters about two temporary polling location changes related to the upcoming special election for the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) on June 17. The precinct changes are due to ongoing DeKalb County School construction. DECATUR, GA – DeKalb County, in conjunction with the DeKalb County Continuum of Care, has announced the launch of the $7.8 million HOME-American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) Program known as “Project HOME-ARP.” The program will become effective on July 1, 2025. Funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the initiative is designed to expand access to safe, stable housing by providing rental assistance and supportive services for residents experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. “This funding allows us to directly address the urgent needs of individuals and families who are struggling to remain housed or to exit homelessness,”…
ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA– From June 5 –10, expect traffic delays and road closures due to sewer mn repairs. During this time, repairs will be conducted on West Ave from Main Street to Dogwood. Repairs will take place daily, weather permitting, and will require partial or full lane closures in the affected areas.
