ATLANTA – Warrants have been issued for Cassondra Daniele Fuller, 30, of Blacksburg, Virginia for three counts of Insurance Fraud in connection with a Gwinnett County case, Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced. King said that before moving to Virginia, Fuller made three separate stolen property claims with USAA Casualty Insurance Company by submitting fraudulent photographs generated from the internet in an attempt to pass them off as her personal belongings. “The suspect was paid on the first two claims totaling $7,537.11 and attempted to receive payment on the third claim totaling approximately $14,000.00,” King stated…

DeKalb County, GA– Citizens in South DeKalb County are once again asking their delegation to support renewed efforts to create a new city, according to a press release from the DeKalb Cityhood Movement (DCM). The new city would be called the City of DeKalb, the group stated in the release. The newly-formed DCM has organized for the purpose of getting the Georgia General Assembly to support a referendum for citizens of South DeKalb to vote on whether they want a city to form. The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) is warning the public of a phone scam that asks drivers to provide their driving license details and pay a fee to reinstate their license. The caller claims to be from the Department of Driver Services (DDS) but in reality is a common voice phishing scam designed to steal personal information and money from recipients. The event kicked off with a holiday turkey give-a-way, in partnership with the Women In NAACP DeKalb County Branch; 100 Black Men of DeKalb; The Center Helping Obesity in Children End Successfully (C.H.O.I.C.E.S); The Community Boutique; and Mission Agape.
