The DeKalb County Board of Health is partnering with three community organizations to provide farmers market vouchers through the Healthy Bucks voucher program – the Diabetes “You Can Win” Foundation, Inc., Lithonia Head Start, and the Ruby A. Neeson Diabetes Awareness Foundation, Inc. Healthy Bucks, modeled after a similar program in New York City, offers incentives for community members to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables and participate in nutrition education. DECATUR, GA– Final work necessary to complete the replacement of the HVAC system North DeKalb Health Center will keep the facility, located at 3807 Clairmont Rd., NE, in Chamblee, closed on Friday, June 4. The DeKalb County Sanitation Division is currently experiencing yard trimmings collection delays for some residents in Atlanta, Brookhaven, Doraville, Dunwoody, and Tucker. On Saturday, June 5, residential collection teams will service households affected by this week’s collection delays. Residents are encouraged to keep their yard trimmings at the curb until servicing occurs. The Sanitation Division Said in a news release that it  apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates residents’ patience as residential collection teams work toward a resolution.
