City of Stonecrest to host Screen on the Green, Entrepreneur Expo Sept. 24

Stonecrest, GA – The City of Stonecrest’s Screen on the Green and Entrepreneur Expo, a family-friendly tradition, returns to the city on Saturday, Sept. 24, 4 p.m. This is the third year the city has hosted the event.

Hosted by Mayor Jazzmin Cobble and the city’s  Leisure Services Department, this year’s event will be held at Fairington Park, 2831 Fairington Parkway.

The program will feature an Entrepreneur Expo, live musical performance and activities for the entire family. The event will conclude with a showing of the movie, “Sing 2,” at 8 p.m.

“We are very excited to announce the return of our Screen on the Green and Entrepreneur Expo. We have always received such great feedback from the community,” said Cobble. “This event promises to be another incredible afternoon in Stonecrest. Attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy food, a host of activities, and connect with small and youth-owned businesses before settling in for the movie at dusk.”

Stonecrest’s Screen on the Green and Entrepreneur Expo is free and open to the public. Guests are welcome to bring their coolers, umbrellas, lawn chairs and blankets. Visitors also will be able to select from popular local food vendors.

Grills, glass, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the park.

“The tradition continues as we transform the park into a theater under the stars,” said Director of Leisure Service Ben Dillard. “We invite everyone to join us for Screen on the Green and bring their family, friends and neighbors.”

Transportation and Parking:

• Due to limited parking at Fairington Park, additional parking will be available nearby at Walmart Supercenter and Fairington Elementary School. Carpooling or ridesharing is encouraged.
• Shuttle bus service to the site will begin at 3:30 p.m.
