Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office investigating apparent murder suicide on Clubland Circle in Conyers

ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA –The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspected murder suicide that occurred on Sunday, July 27, in the 600 block of Clubland Circle S.E., Conyers.

Deputies responded to a person shot call at approximately 1:20 p.m. Two people identified as Melissa King and Kevin James were found at the scene deceased from gunshot wounds, authorities said. 

Preliminary findings indicate that Mr. James was the suspected aggressor and Ms. King, the victim of the homicide. The individuals were previously engaged, authorities said. 

The case remains under active investigation, the Sheriff’s Office stated.
