STONECREST, GA– Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) is hosting his “Future of the Fourth” reception to recognize and celebrate outstanding young leaders in Georgia’s Fourth Congressional District. The event will be held on Feb. 21, 1 p.m., at the Lou Walker Senior Center, 2538 Panola Road and streamed on social media platforms.
Johnson will honor students who have excelled in technology, service, and leadership, including winners of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge and nominees for the 2025 U.S. Service Academies.
The program will feature special guests, local leaders, and performances in celebration of the district’s future innovators, military leaders, and community changemakers. Performances include Towers High School JROTC and special remarks from Maurice Kenner, Conrad Meertins, and Congressman Johnson.
The following students have been selected as the 2025 Congressional App Challenge winners:
1st Place: Fulton Science Academy: Max Xie, Satya Bledsoe for App: RoundUp: A social app that uses AI-powered matching to help kids form meaningful friendships.
2nd Place: Woodward Academy: Aditi Tripathy for App: Helix-Bio Solutions: An AI-powered platform that analyzes medical scans to detect early cancer indicators, visualize genetic mutations, and provide personalized treatment
3rd Place: Arabia Mountain High School: Aadil Omar, Nathaniel Jackson, David Ishola, Christopher Sherrer for App: RightsWatch: A cross-platform app that enables users to report, map, and track human rights violations in real time while providing educational resources about legal rights and protections.
