Congressman Hank Johnson to present Fourth Annual Unsung Heroes Awards, 29 community leaders to be honored

DECATUR, GA – On Sunday, Nov. 19, from 3-5 p.m., Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) is hosting his Fourth Annual Unsung Heroes Awards to recognize and celebrate members of the community.

This year, 29 people will be honored including veterans, professionals, business leaders, and community advocates who, through their selfless service and altruism, have made Georgia’s Fourth Congressional District a better place to live, work, and play. r

WHO: Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA) honoring 29 members of the community with Unsung Heroes Awards, which fall into four categories — Diamond of the District, Pillars of Power, Community Cornerstone and Champion of the Fourth.

Diamond of the District Award: An individual, organization or business that has a positive impact on a community through the promotion of goodwill, a helping-hand concept, building up of the spirit or support of character.
