The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office’s 14thAdopt-A-Family program held Dec. 19 was an exciting occasion for kids from Bethany Foster Care and DeKalb County Department of Family and Children’s Services who will now be able to celebrate the holiday with loads of gifts.
Earlier this season, the Sheriff’s Office held its annual Chili Cook-off, where guests tasted and judged each other’s culinary skills. Proceeds and individual donations paid for bikes, electronics, clothes and toys for 22 deserving children from DeKalb who live with grandparents or foster parents.
