DEKALB COUNTY, GA— A coordinated investigation by the DeKalb County Police Department has resulted in the arrests of four individuals and the recovery of multiple illegal firearms and narcotics.
As part of an ongoing armed robbery and gang-related investigation, DeKalb County Police officers, working in partnership with the Georgia State Patrol, conducted a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Glenwood Avenue on July 9. Four occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody. Two suspects were found to be carrying firearms, and investigators recovered several additional firearms from inside the vehicle.
Investigators later executed a search warrant at a residence in the 4800 block of Bob White Run. During the search, officers recovered five firearms, four of which were equipped with illegal conversion devices, commonly referred to as “switches,” capable of converting handguns into fully automatic firearms. Investigators also recovered suspected narcotics. The DKPD’s press release did not state the name of the gang tied to the investigation.

- Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
These arrests were the result of a coordinated effort involving DKPD’s Gangs Unit, SWAT, Robbery Unit, Narcotics Unit, K9 Unit, Aerial Support Unit, Real-Time Crime Center, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit, South Precinct, East Precinct, and the Georgia State Patrol.
The DeKalb County Police Department remains committed to aggressively investigating violent crime, disrupting criminal organizations, and working alongside our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to protect the residents and visitors of DeKalb County.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
