ATLANTA – MARTA’s Brookhaven rail station reopened on Saturday, Nov. 16, after a six-week construction project to replace aging pavers on the train platform. The platform paver work, which began on Oct. 7 and was completed on Nov. 15, is one part of the overall rehabilitation project at Brookhaven Station. GWINNETT COUNTY, GA– Marquis Green, 27, of Auburn, GA has been arrested for murder and numerous theft charges in connection with a 60-year-old man who hadn’t been heard from in weeks. Police arrested Green at a restaurant in Duluth, authorities said today, Nov. 15. The investigation began on Oct. 29. Gwinnett Police officers responded to 1241 Mount Vernon Drive in Lawrenceville for a welfare check on Robert Terry, 60, who had not been heard from in several weeks. GWINNETT COUNTY, GA– The Gwinnett County Police Department has arrested a mother and daughter after they punched a Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) employee and kidnapped two children at an indoor trampoline park during a court-mandated visitation. The mother, Starlita Moore, and her 19-year-old daughter, Teisha Schulters, were both arrested during a traffic stop in Alabama, after fleeing the scene.
