DECATUR, GA– Final work necessary to complete the replacement of the HVAC system North DeKalb Health Center will keep the facility, located at 3807 Clairmont Rd., NE, in Chamblee, closed on Friday, June 4. The health center will re-open at 8:15 a.m. on Monday, June 7. The DeKalb County Sanitation Division is currently experiencing yard trimmings collection delays for some residents in Atlanta, Brookhaven, Doraville, Dunwoody, and Tucker. On Saturday, June 5, residential collection teams will service households affected by this week’s collection delays. Residents are encouraged to keep their yard trimmings at the curb until servicing occurs. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit, with the Gwinnett County Police Department, has arrested a suspect in the murder of a woman last month in a Tucker, Georgia motel. Sheriff’s investigators today(June 2) located and arrested Gamontevis Leonard, 34, of Atlanta for the Malice Murder of Shamere Moore, 35. According to the arrest warrant, the incident occurred on May 22 at the Studio 6 motel, 1795 Crescent Centre Boulevard, Tucker. Moore was stabbed in the chest and shot in the head, causing her death, authorities said. Leonard was taken into custody without incident in Gwinnett County near…
