LAWRENCEVILLE– The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday (May 17) approved a reorganization of the Gwinnett County Juvenile Court system. The decision will establish a new administrative department and move administration of Juvenile Court to the Administrative Office of the Courts, a move celebrated by the juvenile court judges. ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA – The GBI is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Rockdale County, GA. The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI conduct an independent investigation after a shooting occurred on May 17 in the area of the 5300 block of Alexanders Lake Road, Stockbridge, Rockdale County. One man was shot and is being treated at Grady Hospital in Atlanta. No officers were injured during the incident. DECATUR, GA—DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) crews are onsite assessing a water main break along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near I-285. Crews are assessing the break to determine the repairs needed and estimated time to complete the repair. The cause of the main break is still under investigation.
