DECATUR, GA– Registration is underway for the 34th Annual DeKalb County Senior Olympic Games for ages 50 and older. Seniors from DeKalb and surrounding counties are invited to register by April 21. The games will be held May 1-12 at various venues across DeKalb. The kickoff for the games will be on Wednesday, May 1, 9 a.m., at Exchange Intergenerational Recreation Center 2771 Columbia Drive, Decatur. DECATUR, GA– Efforts to improve water service capacity throughout DeKalb County continue Monday, April 3, with the launch of the Keswick Drive Water Line Replacement Project. Crews will replace 450 linear feet of crumbling water lines with new 8-inch-diameter ductile-iron water lines along Keswick Drive. This line repair project is expected to last approximately one month (April 2023 to May 2023), barring any weather delays. DECATUR, GA—Orrin “Checkmate” Hudson, founder of Be Someone Inc., will be teaching chess lessons at Stan Watson’s Free Community Breakfast on Saturday, April 1, at Southwest DeKalb High School.
